MISSION STATEMENT - Give the Streets Back! is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 community youth intervention program. Our purpose is to establish a nation-wide community network to educate our youth regarding drug abuse, gang activity and HIV/AIDS. GOALS - To educate youth and develop their self-esteem; to perform community outreach to young drug abusers and gang members; to inform parents and youth regarding gang activity in their neghborhood. PROGRAM/ACTIVITIES WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? - A drug and gang prevention presentation for all grade levels. Speakers are former gang members. COMMUNITY AWARENESS CLINIC - A panel discussion with civic and community leaders, held during Black History Month. Emphasis is on the contributions of African-Americans. FAMILY DAY AT THE PARK - Festive activities for families held at local parks featuring guest speakers, music, sports, food and games. COUNSELING SERVICES - Offered to youth and families with gang and substance abuse problems. HOUSING SERVICES - Real estate property sales to the general public and low-income families.
